About me

I am an animator and illustrator with a great interest in video games. I would like to learn more about developing games, from programming to artistic design, so I can go into the industry from a variety of directions later, or go on to specialise. I love the immersive and personalised experience games can give and how lots of small details in carefully-crafted games can enhance fantastical worlds to a point where they feel tangible, in a way that films and books can’t, making games more attached to my own personality.

I was born in Croydon but spent the early years of my life abroad in Pakistan and Thailand, until we returned to England when I was 7. Since then I’ve grown up mostly in Croydon with my parents, twin, and younger brother. Growing up outside of England has definitely shaped my view of the world and broadened my experiences, which I sometimes channel into my artwork.

At the Brit School I have been exploring a range of digital art media through my Interactive Digital Design (IDD) course. In this course I have worked through several projects from a brief, to a range of initial ideas, to a refined result through research and planning, mirroring the industry pipeline. I also study A-level Maths, as it  interests me and could also help me with more advanced coding or even for generating game ideas. Some of my free time activities include miniature painting, reading, drawing/digital painting, Lego-building and gaming. Some of my favourite videos include Hollow Knight, Celeste, and Minecraft. I especially like how much care went into making these detailed indie games, but also enjoy the quality of some AAA games like The Last Of Us or Horizon.
